So you are interested in a new, custom kitchen! FANTASTIC! You probably have many questions, so I am here to answer them.
The decision to replace or update your kitchen is one that must be made with care, taking into full consideration what you
want at each step. You're the one who has to live with it, right? Here is a list of common questions and answers to that
you will have to ask yourself in the kitchen process.
There are several styles and themes of kitchens available. There is classical, traditional, contemporary, and modern.
You can follow one of these styles or come up with your own! Feel free to take the cabinet designs from classical,
the countertops from traditional, and the backsplashes from modern. And if all of these types of kitchen labels mean
nothing to you, you can simply tell me exactly what you want, and you will get it! I've been doing this for over
twenty years and, not to brag, I'm good at it!
Selecting the type of wood is a matter of personal preference. The types of wood I offer are Cherry, Maple, Oak, Ash,
Mahogany, Pine, Alder, and thermofoil. Not sure what the difference is? When I meet with you, I will bring samples so
you can make an informed decision. Our most popular woods are Cherry and Maple.
The stain is the final color of the kitchen. It's what gives the kitchen a dark rustic look, or a light toasty look.
When we meet, I will bring 150 samples of stains for you to choose from. If you can't find that exact color you have
dreamed of, I'll make it for you! And I'll make sure it's perfect!
I offer Granite, Corian, Silestone, and Mica countertops. My solid-surface countertops (Granite, Corian, and Silestone)
are all similarly priced; the only differences are the colors and designs offered. And as a special perk, if you choose
Granite, you can even go down to the Granite Gallery and select the slab you want! If you're interested in Mica,
I hope you have time because there are hundreds (literally) to choose from.
The backsplash is the backing where the countertop meets the wall. It rises up either a few inches or all the way up the wall!
You can have this made in Granite, Corian, Silestone, Mica, Tile, or metal. You can either match your countertop to your
backsplash, or add a personal design with the hundreds of varieties of tiles, or the dozens of types of metals and patterns.
Have you ever thought to yourself: 'I would like my refrigerator to be over here!' Or a trend that I have seen lately: 'It would
be great if I had a television here!' When you remodel your kitchen, you have a chance to put your appliances in all new places.
So take a minute and think about how you would lay out your dream kitchen!
Cabinets and drawers conceal our dishes, and they give us a chance to express ourselves. You can have cabinets and drawers
as large and as small as you want. You can put them wherever you want! Do you have a design or style in mind for the
cabinet faces? Let me know. If not, I have many samples for you to choose from.
Crown Molding is a decoration installed at the top of woodwork. It is an exceptional addition to quality kitchens and
cabinets. It provides a seamless blend between a kitchen and its' surroundings. The Crown Molding's stain matches the
cabinets of which they adorn.
There are many interesting and unique features you can add to your kitchen. Some of them include but are not limited
to: a television, a Lazy Susan, wine rack, hdden cabinets, under-cabinet lighting, decorative backsplashes, artwork,
trash pullout, pullout pot and pan drawers, an island, and mounted appliances. You can even have a miniature garden
with fresh herbs! Be creative!
